Very nice mate, I want a Suzy GS 1150 EFE engine for my GS1000. Let me know if you see one going cheap? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Terry - you should come visit the US and buy all the bikes and parts you can fit in a container to ship to OZ!
Would make a good reality TV show, better than all the crap that is on now!

That's a bloody good idea Steve, my cousin and I were talking about shipping a container full of early Jap, British and US bikes and parts to restore and sell. My sister lives in California so I've got a "firm base" to work from, I just need to get off my butt and get it happening. Cheers, Terry. ;D

How much is cheap, there is a guy here locally that has a complete bike for sale in pretty ragged condition, there is also a nice 81 1100 motor too. I was thinking about picking up that 1100 as a spare for my two Suzis an 83 es and an 82 sz.

Thanks mate, I'd hope not to have to pay more than 500 bucks for an engine in unknown condition? I don't want the rest of the bike, I'd just like to install the big black engine in my GS1000 frame? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Don't go out of your way mate, the logistics of shipping an engine to Oz is nothing if not painful. I just found an 1150 on EBay Oz in rough but complete and running condition for 1000 bucks so I'm watching to see where that goes, but anyway, Christmas is only 40 days away, so there's no rush. Cheers, Terry. ;D

You would think that if America is looking to up its exports they would do something about their ridiculous postage charges. I know i would buy more if it wasn't so prohibitively expensive....

I guess it's a sign of the (economic) times Mick, smallish parts aren't too bad, I just bought a set of 31mm CR's and the shipping was 69 bucks, which I thought quite reasonable. An engine, on the other had would have to cost around 500 bucks port to port, so no real advantage over buying one here, if you can find one here, of course. Cheers, Terry. ;D
