« on: November 12, 2011, 09:22:29 AM »
Can someone please tell me how to check what my forum member number is? I looked at the stats, profiles for forum and account and see nothing.

mouse over your name in any post (without clicking it), at the bottom left of the screen there will be a web address , the number at the end is your member number    ...you are 27,238

I take it that forum # isn't the same as member #, yes, no?
Mine says something over 2000 but I joined back in the ancient BBS days under alt\rec\motorcycles\sohc4.

Correct.  If you're a member of the SOHC4 Owner's Club, that's your member number and never changes.  Your forum number is just the order in which you signed up on this version of the sohc4 forums.

But it helps to have the bar at the bottom of the browser activated.  In Firefox, it's the tool bar called "add on bar".  I think in Internet Explorer, it's the status bar.

Nope.  Your SOHC4 Owner's Club number never changes.  It's completely separate from the forums and your forum number.

o, sorry... i mis-read.  i didn't realize you were differentiating.

but yes, my forum number changed, big time.

I'm gonna go ride some more and see if I've fixed the 2 cylinders dying out intermittently issue.
