I'm moving along on the build. I'm also moving this old thread.

I had the bike running well a few weeks ago and then it just quite firing. I had to go and do a full tune-up on it and now its running again. The timing was advanced too far. I don't know why it changed or what may have caused it to suddenly stop but I've taken the bike to the gas station and went around a few blocks and it seems to be revving well now. I have some smoke from a possible worn valve guide on my left intake and the front brake is for #$%*. The brake was always week, but this new setup has braided hoses and a different vented disk. I haven't really trouble-shooted it yet. It still needs a battery relocation and a fiberglass seat mounted. I'm using the original seat right now although I've removed the mounts so its tenuously mounted.

I've ridden the bike a bit more and its running well. I'll take it over to hopterfixers house soon for help with the tail.
I inspected the caliper and the piston is moving. I compressed it with my hands, but it seems to drag still so I'll have to try a new seal.

Bike has been moved to hopterfixers and it did well in transit. Power seems to go flat after about 7k. I'll get to that later. The tach gauge face screws worked themselves out, so I've disassembled it and will be posting the how-to just to show the cheap and easy tool for doing it. It looks like we may be using a plastic cuttingboard for a mounting plate. Stay tuned.
PS-If anyone thinks this should be back in the "other bikes" section I'm cool with moving it.
