honda ST90 19713
« on: October 23, 2011, 12:53:06 AM »
Hello there
Just scored a ST90 1973 model for my girls yesterday.
Anybody know if this engine is used on other bikes.  It may help my search for parts if I can look at a couple of different models rather than just the ST90
Any body else got one of these

Hi Scott, have a look at the CT90 postie bikes mate, maybe even the CT110,  i am not too sure but i think they share most parts except the gearbox. Shouldn't have many problems chasing up parts for the CT90  ;)

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

ST90 motor itself is a unique setup.the bolt pattern is different from all other 90 and 110 motor. The inner parts, trany, crank,if I'm correct are the same.Maybe the ratio of the trany is different. The top end parts are different but can be interchanged,The outside diameter of the cupper head gasket is different. You can swap a complete top frm another model on your motor, but cylinder and head need to be matched.
What parts are you looking for?,also 2 complete ct90 for parts

kick sarter is welded on.  At some stage this will cause a problem. I have seen the parts on Ebay but I wanted to check all my options because I thought I may be able to buy a complete engine.  Rebuild that complete engine and just do a swap sometime

Here's a yahoo group that has swaps for honda ct's etc. Lots of good information about converting 6 to 12 volt wiring of the system and use of Lifan and other motors.

I just realized [honda clone] will send every post to your inbox if your settings aren't dialed in right.  (PITA deleting e-mails).
