81 CM400 Cafe
« on: October 28, 2011, 06:07:58 AM »
This is a project that was brought to me. The owner had the bike given to him. He loved the bike, but wanted it to be more sporty. I have more pictures on my website under projects. (www.witcheyscreations.com)

Looks nice, I'm not a huge fan of 16" rear wheeled café bikes but I like this.

I like the vents cut into the sidecovers, nice detail.   Overall it looks pretty good.

I like it.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I used to own an '81 CM400. I loved that bike. I never thought it would take the cafe treatment very well, though. You have officially proved that thought wrong. Nice job!

I am reworking the mold for the seat pan. I should have some ready for sale in a couple of weeks. I am going to try this seat pan on other slant frame bikes to see what it will look like.

Lets try to keep this thread going. I have (2) Cm400t's, one runs and the other is for parts. Might be a nice Cafe project come the spring...How many months till spring?
3 cold months, well I have a '78 CB750K on the lift right now in a nice warm basement. Tomorrow is the last day of the year....Happy New year to all out there.

Very nice looking bike. Here is a pic for comparison of the 81 CM400C I restored a few years ago.

Still trying to figure out why when I turn the handlebars, the engine shuts off? Anyone have this problem on a CM400T?
                                 Thanks, Doug

Something is wrong somewhere in wiring harness.  Loose connection, broken wire...
