Bob ,
Where exactly in Cheeseland will this be taking place ?
I think I will be their - but not 100% sure.
Teal Boscobel is tiny, just follow this bikes.
Bob sent me this info:
If this isn’t the best event on the ChiVinMoto calendar then I don’t
know what is. That’s all there is to it.
For those of you who have been along before I just need to say a few
words: Riding, Demolition Derby, Breakfast at the Unique Café, More
Riding, Lunch at Joe’s, More Riding, Bonfire, Beer, Burgers, another
Breakfast at the Unique Café, More Riding.
OK? Email me direct for motel reservations.
For those of you who haven’t been along before – damn! You’ve been
missing out! Why don’t you fix that and come along for:
Big Bob’s Two Weekends After Labor Day Run 2006
September 15, 16 and 17 Boscobel, Wisconsin
What is it? It’s the fifth consecutive year for my weekend-long party
for old bikes and the people who own, ride and maintain them. The rides
are planned, meals are all lined up, motel rooms are reserved. All you
have to do is show up and have a good time.
People start to arrive on Thursday night. More show up on Friday. The
roads in the area are some of the best in the nation, go explore with a
friend, go ride by yourself, or hook up with some other old bike nuts
that you might have just met.
Friday night we pile into the bike haulers – you can ride if you want
but there are a lot of deer running around in the dark – and we head
over to the county fair to catch the demolition derby. Great stuff!
Saturday it’s time to ride. At least two different groups will head
over to Joe Block’s summer place where Joe and his family put on a nice
lunch spread. After that people head in different directions, Wildcat
Mountain is a big favorite.
After riding all day it’s party time. The nice folks at the HQ motel
outside of town let me dig up their back yard and build a bonfire. My
wife Jennifer and I serve up burgers, hot dogs, a couple of salads,
chips, etc. Marshmallows and sticks will be provided. For the folks
staying at the overflow motel in town (HQ motel only has 10 rooms but
also has no neighbors) I provide ferry service back and forth in my
Big-Ass Van with a non-drinking driver.
Sunday folks meet up for some more breakfast and then pack it up and
head for home.
Ask anyone that’s been along for this weekend in the past – it’s a great
time. If they say otherwise tell them to have their doctor change their
prescription.
So there you have it. Great times with great people on great roads in
some of the nicest scenery you can find in this country. Fire up that
old machine and leave town! Email me direct with any questions or to
reserve a room.

And for Savana:
For August and Boscobel:
L & M Motel
2000 N. Oakton Rd.
Savanna, IL 61074
(815)273-7728
Ask for Lois, mention you're with the Bob Burns group
for August 12 and 13.
If I was you I'd stay at home for September. The best
non-riding part of the weekend is the bonfire Saturday
night. That will be in the back yard at Hubl's Motel
about three miles east of Boscobel on 60.
Feel free to come out and join us for some riding on
Friday, demolition derby Friday night, and some more
riding on Saturday.
Be sure to walk up and introduce yourself. Look for
the big guy named Bob. That'll be me.
