Topic: OEM screws for lamp lenses

Ok, so this nuts, but while you can still get all the lenses for a K1, you can't get the dammed screws. I need some for the tail light, and some for the signals. Anyone have an idea that doesn't involve using threaded rod? THanks!

a decent bolt supply place should have them,i replaced mine with stainless.

I have 4 t/light lense screws coming with a new gasket coming from David Silver to match the lense I got from you Dave.

gday frosty,,i mostly just use stainless anywhere and everywhere,they are cheap if you buy a few,when i walk into the local bolt shop here now they ask what do you want in stainless?you still havent fitted that lense yet?

Yeah, the lense has been on since then, but with only 3 daggy screws & the gaske is all twisted up. I'll have to tidy the old girl up a bit with the Mac coming from CoachDoc.

I have no problem finding lens screws but cant find out what size the turn signal ground screw on my 73 750 is.
I don't remember seeing them listed in parts fisch. Any help with that?

Mine (the lens screws) were M3x25's. I got them from fastenal for a dirt cheap price, like 2 bucks for 12 of them or something. When I picked up the order, they had given me 100 of them, because someone was too lazy to count out 12 and break up the lot, so I got 88 of them free.

If you want some, I'll send 'em to ya in a normal envelope in a baggie so it'll only cost a stamp for me, and nothing for you!

edit: These screws were for a 76 750K with stock lenses, so I'm not sure what else it would work with, but I'll send em if you want 'em.

Hi Buffalo, that is amazing of you. I will have a look to see if they are the same part #. I also found a bolt/nut supply in the area that MIGHT have them. I thought they were so proprietary that it wouldn't be 'off-the-shelf', but Dave has inspired me to try.

Yea, its no big deal for me, I'm never going to use all of them, and postage is what, 50 cents?

I had a tough time finding them cause M3 is not a very common size. All the big-box stores only carry down to M4 around here.
