hi all.   in ireland its recomended to use a running light on bikes during daylight but main headlight is not compulsary.
i tried a 7inch unit in my 400f from mikes chevy parts usa,
its an h4 lamp and comes with h4 bulb and 32 leds for sidelight.

Ray:
Did that lamp fit in the 400F bucket? The original 400 sealed beam is a 6 1/4 inch oddball size, pretty hard to find. I tried to fit a 7" Cibie motorcycle lamp years ago and it wouldn't go.

Man that is sick, can we see a pic of it on facing the dark road road ahead? How much was that set up?

i had to remove the small clip from the top of headlight rim which is held by two rivets.i bonded the lamp to the rim but the fit is so tight that it pobably was not reqd.
i changed all other bulbs to leds and fitted relays to headlights and horn.
main reason was to lessen current through bar switches.

 On my three running 750's,
 three different headlights.

I ride on roads where there may be one dead deer per mile, or more.

There is a noticable difference in the lense that sez "motorcycle" ,  stock, I think.

I can see very well sideways both shoulders of the road and into both ditches, compared to the headlight that goes straight ahead.
A Brighter light is not always the best one for me, but where it shines.
