Hey BMW guys...
« on: November 22, 2011, 03:23:53 PM »
Can anyone tell me what year/model this BMW is ?     The image is labeled as a 1960 R50s.   Gotta be an earlier model correct ?     Damn, those germans sure had strong design skills.   So much cool stuff going on with this one.  I've been starting to lean toward vintage BMWs for a few years now.  I think I may be in trouble.

It's one of my dreams to someday have a garage full of old Beemers, CB's, and Guzzi's, especially the late 70's and early 80's Guzzi's  :-*

Huge bike auction coming up in January in LasVegas.    If ever there was a time when the buyer held the cards this is it.

I'll keep checking in - somebody will figure it out before I do...

Yeah, I saw that one.    I snoozed on a 75 R90s last year - I keep kicking myself.

There are actually 2 auctions in Vegas running the same weekend (Jan 12-14)   This could be a perfect storm.
One the one hand, there is lots of stupid money in vegas, on the other - 2 auctions running at the same time thins the crowd.    I went to the auction at Barber this year and was shocked to see how low some of the bikes went for.

Rusty
RustyJC,
That's a great looking Orange R90/S on the bottom here...I'd like to find one of them in a barn !
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
Do your BEST...nobody can take that away from you.
