Where can I find these bits?
« on: November 23, 2011, 06:06:48 PM »
Where can I find bits like these?

The ones on the right are mostly what I'm interested in; 3/8" flap wheels and a scotchbrite wheel.
I'm wanting to do a little mild clean up work on a head and these would be perfect. BUT.....I can't find them anywhere. Searched all over ebay, went to a couple of websites reccommended on the thread I stole the pic from, etc.
I want these to fit a Dremel tool and they need to be fairly small to fit into the ports.

Home Depot and Lowe's each have a HUGE selection of Dremel bits.

I used the little flap wheels and the scotchbrite wheels on my own porting clean up work on a Honda SL125 single.  Worked great!

Thanks for the info!

 Maybe I'm missing something....Searched here, too: http://www.mcmaster.com/#flap-wheels/=f2mlxa

I've yet to see the tapered bits like he has. The ones that look sorta cone shaped. Or are those just worn down flap wheels?
I'd like some with the tapered and rounded tips to get into tight places.
Will check Home Depot, etc., after the holiday.

It would be mighty helpful to know what size shaft you need.  If its Dremel stuff then get them anywhere they sell Dremel stuff, which seems to be pretty much anywhere.  If its cheap quarter inch bits you want then one of the mail order places will do nicely, and of course there is always E-Bay.  If its grinding burrs you need then I'd say go straight to E-Bay where you can find absolutely every size, shape, length, and quality of bit/burr ever made.  If you plan to buy one or two quality burrs you better be ready for some sticker shock though.  Don't get me wrong, they are worth the money, but they are not cheap; Home Depot and Wal Mart do not sell anything that can even be remotely compared to a real burr.
