had a bad problem of my idle being eratic..as in not settling back to idle. pulled the carbs and tore them down. all looks clean as a whistle. but found the po had bent the linkage on carb #3 and it was catching on the linkage for #4. plus the float heights were off and the imulsion tubes in 2 of the carbs do not seem to be installed all the way.( will pul them out tomorrow). thanks for all your help and all the great info on this site!! bike is a 72 500 with only 8500 miles on it. needs a bit of tlc to keep it the way it should be.
