Well firstly I'd like to say thanks to all the members and the forum, the information that can be found on this forum is first class. Without this forum there is no way I would have been able to complete this project. Before I started this project I had never touched a set of carbs and never even heard of contact points but by the end of it I had completely rebuilt almost everything on the bike including stripping my carbs to nothing for cleaning and painting and including relacing the wheels again thanks to a step by step guide posted here. My bike has been treated to a Hondaman ignition with stock points and Kevin400f supplied me with a phenolic brake pistion. This forum is great for people who have no previous experience with sohc4's as everybody here is willing to help out if they can, albeit with a bit of ballbusting sometimes  ;) Thanks Guys!!!


Heres a few pics my project when I picked it up last August, half a bike and loads of bits and pieces.





Heres how it sits now, got my first spin of it last Sunday and it went great, I've finished off a few things since these pics like getting my rear indicators mounted and shortening that fuel hose.

August to November for all that work is seriously impressive, top marks ! ;D
I also echo your views and thanks about the help given on this and the UK forum.
My CB400/4 F2 has a phenolic brake caliper piston from Kevin as well.  ;)

wow! seriously awesome job!  i love those little 400F's, that exhaust header jsut does it for me.  that thing should be BOTM

Yes I agree Jessezm thats one of the reasons I posted this to show others who may be just thinking of starting on their first project or who may be struggling at a point in their first project that with a little patience and help it can be done. I did everything myself on this bike except the paint job on the tank and side panels.
