CB350F OEM Exhaust & Tire Questions
« on: December 01, 2011, 09:32:19 AM »
Recently came across a '74 CB350f with 792 miles.  Bike is really nice with near perfect chrome, perfect seat, and nice but not perfect paint.

I am in the process of fixing a few flaws so I can sell it and buy more 2 stroke street bikes.  (to each his own!)

Heres the question:  the top left ex. pipe was rotted so I bought a NOS part off ebay.  The replacement part is welded and the other 3 pipes are two piece.

Were the 350f's originally with 2 piece exhaust pipes?  My replacement pipe has Honda part numbers stamped on it so i assume it's a true NOS part and not a replica.

I don't want to present it as original if the three pipes I didn't replace are some type of aftermarket.

Tires are 21" bridgestones.  would these be the OEM tires?

thx in advance for any help.

The original pipes and mufflers on these bikes were one-piece, with the mufflers welded to their corresponding down-pipe.  That made four exhaust pieces for the total bike.  The pair of mufflers on each side had a small rubber hose connecting their chambers together.

I know I've heard aftermarket mufflers that clamped to the headpipes and looked almost exactly like oem. I think I even saw a picture once (should have saved it!). Do your current two-piece exhausts have any stampings on them? Like HM333 or CB350F?
