I had a set once. Bought and sold them in the box. About 5 to 10 years ago they were all over the Internet. I had bot mine for <$125, sold about the same.
No one has current experience (I think, "no one" probably too strong. Might get someone to chime in.) We just kinda traded them around. Real pretty.
If you look in the bottom bearing cap of the picture, there is a peg. Youwill need to machine your bearing shell (drill) to accept that locating peg. I'm not sure if they have the locating reliefs at the level of the seam or not. But that was the main reason I didn't use them.
Everyone has opinions on using Aluminum rods. One thing that came up is that you'll need to disassemble and check for wear. That was a deal breaker. Not even sure ifits true, but didn't want to take the cahnce.
I see Cycle Recycle is selling them. That's our local salvage yard. Run by a real nice guy and shade tree CB750 expert. "Rob". If you can get him on phone you could ask, but i gave that up years ago. Too hard.
