Ideas for late model Honda hand switches.
« on: November 17, 2011, 07:37:12 PM »
Hey everyone. I just posted my Project in the projects forum and wondered if anyone had any ideas for hand switches. I was thinking of a set off of a 04-07 Honda VT750. I'm trying to find some Honda switches for my Cafe that would look like they might belong on a 70 bike. Thanks for input. I found out that OEM hand switches can be had from Japan for $250.00 a side. YIKES!!!!!! Chris

I made these for a forum member. He wanted a clean minimal control. The buttons were from ebay. There is a thread for them somewhere on here. Just look for "Rippy Switch".

Thanks for idea Fang. I'm gonna check out late model CBR600RR switches. Anyone have any other bikes with switches and controls that might work nicely?

So I am a little confused. Are you looking for modern switches or classic looking switches? Or modern switches that look classic?

I put a set of these on my first cafe bike:

I got them from Bevel Heaven: http://www.bevelheaven.com/

They also have these, for a more classic look:

Other than buying a replacement set from Honda, you won't find anything that is just plug and play. You will have to fiddle with wiring for anything else.

You can also check out Mike's XS for classic, yet still NEW, switches:
1978 CB750K Project
2000 Ducati ST2
...and a pedal bike

Hello there
I tried to find those switches on Bevel Heaven website but couldn't locate them.  Do you remember what section they are in.
Please and Thanks
Scott
