Nominate for Bike Of The Month - January 2012
« on: December 01, 2011, 07:41:50 PM »
It's Nominatin' Time!

Congratulations spammasher for being the 2011 BOTY winner!

I will let this run until about 12/15/11 and then start the voting thread.

Please Nominate, Second and Accept using those words.  It makes it easier for me to setup the voting threads.  It gets cryptic at times.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Uhh, Am I missing the link to the befores?  I think we need some before pics that look the same for BOTM. Original Rotten rusty patina that goes like a bat out of  heck with a motor fixin'  on a you tube video.  I vote for that. Rat, spit polish and paint optional, but running tuned machine that looks like death would be good. I would vote for it, paint it later. 40 year old machine ,rusty outside no questions asked real patina but runner.

Okay, PM me if you want ugly fast bike nominated. One that looks Like the christmas poo, and  could maybe  win an ahrma race class. Or one that was built /tuned  where it  could  at least be folowing leaders close with a good rider.

Best if it makes everyone want to pluck their eyes out!

Thanks guys, I'm honored to be nominated and I accept, of course. I build my bikes for me, but I'm always happy when someone tells me that they like what I've done too! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry, the details on your bike are outstanding. I especially like the fins on the oil tank.

Graydude, nice work bringing the bike back to life. Many would have dropped the project well before it was finished

This forum is unique with the members and audience it draws. The cafe builds have made me re-think my next project...   looks like a resto-mod cafe is in my future. I appreciate the comments & nomination.

Thanks for the great comments and I was more than tempted to walk away from the project several times.  But their is nothing more satisfying than having someone go out of their way to comment on your bike.  I graciously accept the nomination by Jaguar.

January 2012 Voting Thread - http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=99794.0

Thanks for putting up with the wait folks.  It was CCOErika's birthday yesterday and it was a bit stressful making sure that went right.  I will prolly need something strong like lithium for her 40th.  Btw, it went well and she had a good time!
