Drive Chains
« on: March 17, 2014, 09:26:27 AM »
Any suggestions on what drive chains everyone is using on thier 750's. O Ring/Non O Ring? Will there be any fitment problems running an O ring?

Thanks Dan

You might run into some case clearance issues.
I just bought a new heavy duty standard 530 chain with new JT 17/48 sprockets.  Just under $90.
DID is a good brand.

That depends on what model you have. The later K7/F2 models came with O-ring chains from the factory.

BTW I'd probably be buy and RK or DID, The bike takes a 530 X 100. I'd like to go with an O ring but it's good to know if there is going to be a clearence issue

I run Tsubaki Omega o-ring on my K0.  Very happy with it, although some people believe o ring robs them of hp, I like the low maintenance o ring chain needs.

O-ring clearance issues are mainly on CB500 or such, 750ies are fine.

Can't comment on the F's but the k7 and k8 came with a 630 non Oring chain.

x-rings might hold lube in, and seal out debris better...

You are mistaken: the K7/K8 and F2/F3 models all came with a 630 O-ring chain from the factory.
