After doing all the work to the tank and new side covers, I started thinking what is the point of doing all this work if the front forks still like crap and are rusty and the wiring looks like a rats nest. So i ripped all the wiring out, took all the lights, mirrors etc. Just going to run a headlight tail lamp and if I get pulled over....well it wont be the first time or the last. Anyways picked up a 2007 GSXR front end off ebay for about $250. Luckily I had about three different CB750 triple clamps to experiment with. I pulled the stem out of the lower triple clamp and pressed it into the GSXR lower clamp. In doing this conversion I also cut a groove in the cb750 stem to allow it use the little ring and groove off the gsxr stem to lock in place. I also had to build the cb750 stem up a little to make it fit. I also removed all the electronics and strarted to make a custom wire harness and moved the battery tray to the back of the frame. However I think now I am going to cut that out again and run a battery less system by using Cycle X alternator when i get some money saved up. I also removed the oil tank and cut it to pieces saving the oil line bungs so I can build a custom tank out of a fire extinguisher. Also my exhaust was rustier then all hell so I went with a MAC 4-1.
So here is how the bike looks right now
