You waited and here they are. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

And a few more.
Jaffa got her hands on a Harley 1200, she had a ball today, that grin stayed on her face all the way home, wasn't sure she would be good as pillion passenger but Mike said he hardly knew she was there and she didn't move even when he nearly put it in a ditch! ;)

And finally! ;D
This is a shot of us on the way home at the Waipukurau lookout giving the bikes and our sore bums and wrists a break.
The Photo of my mate Mike with Jaffa's helmet is for purely future blackmail reasons!

Good to see and read about GZ's continuing adventures. I'll be out later today retracing some of the route I took back in March.

Ride on, ride safe!  8)

Here's a couple more taken on handover from HUSH to NANCY.
2nd shot is of GZ on the road called the Pahiatua Track on the way back to my hometown - Palmerston North. We parked on the top on the track - which is a windy uphill with lots of 25 and 35kph corners..., parking on a gravel area off to the drop side of the hill. Pulled back out onto the road which is on a blind bend and came a tooth's thickness from being rear-ended by an arse in a ute (aka pickup truck).. he tail-gated me for another 5km or so before he rushed past. Couldn't rush things with the old woman on the back of the bike.
Regards
Mark

Glad you got home safe Mark, that wind got up just out of Dannevirke and near blew me off the road a couple of times, crossing the Chesterhope bridge I wasn't sure which side I was going to hit first, next bike will not have a screen on it. ;D

Enjoy the ride Shortshins, oh yeah and take a few zip ties with you to hog tie the critter on, he fits quite well between the clocks, grab that short blue bungee I gave to Mark to strap GZ back, come to think of it that bungee could do some k's around NZ its self! ;D

GZ has been handed over to SHORTSHINS (so called due to leg length I believe)...
Unfortunately my SOHC spat tacks and died on it's warmup an hour before being due to meet Shortshins (Mike) at Shannon. When I fired it up, it ran fairly rough and #2 was cold. Oh, oh! Murphies luck at it's F'ing worst!!! Anyway - after repeated revving and cursing it seemed it was running on maybe 4 pots - so I dressed up for the ride..fired it up again - hmm,..maybe it's better. Dropped it into gear and let off the clutch and ambled off - but it was lousy - wouldn't pull over 2.5k revs and zero response to throttle - like on 1 or 2 pots. Beat it with a stick and hoped it'd SPRING into a gallop,...200 metres down the highway - it went "pppsssttt" (sound) from under the tank and all power went boof. Dismounted and pushed it home. By this time in 22 degrees kitted in matching black pants, jacket, helmet and gloves..I was wet through with sweat. Sent a hasty txt to SHORTSHINS and shot off on the Triumph instead. But GZ was not concerned --as Hondy and Trumpy are roomies - so all was well.
A nasty easterly was blowing making the ride somewhat angled,...but safe. SHORTSHINS arrived as arranged at a cafe in SHANNON - so that's only a 45min ride from my place. He was on his F1/2 bike (nice sound it makes too) and he had a mate on a nice 75 Triumph Trident...another rider went to the wrong town and arrived an hour later..on a Suzuki (natural selection at work maybe ;)
A great feast was had and much bike gossip and lies exchanged. Rode off with them in their direction as far as Levin before turning off and back north for home.
I am now looking for coil options for the SOHC..see my other thread if you can help.
I'll post some pics soon...

Good ride up and was good to meet up with NANCY
The Suzuki rider spells his name Marc so that may explain how he thought Sanson was Shannon. Any how no harm done and will make a good story later  :)
My 11 year old daughter Zoe joined me on the trip, it was her first ride of any real duration and she handled the 200km trip like a real pro. Whats more she is still keen to go on more rides.  ;D
GZ is being looked after by the dino's and he says Hi to all

Too bad you had to do that.  Good luck getting the bike going.
