Aluminum wheel spacers
« on: December 03, 2011, 07:41:07 PM »
I did a search but couldn't find much beyond people that had made their own. Does anyone know if you can buy aluminum wheel spacers for a CB750 anywhere or will I have to make my own? I am capable of making some, but it would be much less time consuming if I could buy some. Thanks.

You can make them, but I would not use aluminium spacers between the bearings in the wheel hubs.  The reason why is that after time of tightening of the axle the alloy spacer may crush.  May cause bearing damage.

Yeah, I'll probably leave the center one steel. I am looking more for the external spacers.

The center spacer can be made from Al safely as most newer bikes have them made from Al with no issues.
