Hi from Oxnard, CA - Fabien
« on: November 16, 2011, 04:06:28 PM »
Hey everyone, my name is Fabien, building up a 1977 CB750K
1st motorcycle/build. I'm in my mid 30's and a hobby welder/metal fabricator, in the past building mostly off road desert style trucks, roll cages, suspension, and related parts.

I've always loved motorcycles and I have ridden friends bikes, but for some reason it has taken me this long to actually build/ride one of my own. I can usually only afford to build something if I do all the work myself which is a good and bad thing.

I am not a spammer!

Welcome!
I really like the shape. The tank, seat pan, seat trough to tail it's just got a nice flow.  8)

How does the bike run with those Pod air filters on it? People have been talking about having all kinds of trouble when they run those....?

They hit the choke linkage so I had to tweak that a little and now it works fine but I don't think you should have to modify anything for bolt on products. The stock airbox was cracked and broken on this bike when I bought it so and now that it's all together these will do because i just want to ride it. I changed the jetting per advice I've heard/read but I'm just learning as I go so I'm not someone to ask for advice.
