Bad Crank in CB400F
« on: December 04, 2011, 05:30:08 PM »
I think the crank in the motor I bought for its cases is shot.  The journals are worn to 1.2580 which is below the smallest diamater bearings are listed for.  I think I should keep the crank rods which are labeled "C" and "3" because the side play is in tolerance and crank bearings are still available.  Does that make sense?

Maybe you'll get a parts motor where they are all good and worn in together to keep together.  Maybe one of yours will mic better. When in doubt save it all.
