When you have to get that huge package from point A to point B, and all you've got is a 2 wheeler;I would rather have That Honda than a bicycle !

I've been running a set of M-39 grenade launcher boxes on my cb 500 four as saddlebags for the last few yrs.
They are excellent for use as urban armor to help you keep from being damaged if you go down,I would suggest a set of case guards to compliment them.
I found mine at a surplus store in orlando a few yrs back.
Gwchops is in the house!

japscrap,
Whats the name of that Army Surplus place in Orlando? they have a website ? I want to get a nice pair of those "merimite cans"...but I think they are expensive at some places. They're just the right size & construction for me.

I don't mind if it's newer, or vintage.....I want to make sure that they don't have holes punched through them.I think it will be best if I literally GO to a HUGE U.S. Army warehouse & take my pick...I just need to research where one is in relation to where I live(Pa.)presently.I am looking toward finding new stomping grounds in the South next year...at least that's my plan.I also don't mind traveling to get to this U.S.Army or U.S. military (combined) warehouse...I'll just keep trying; thanks for any suggestions you have. I'll get that pair & then go about building a custom type strong carry rack to hold them onto my bike. I think w/ their size I could carry 2 complete turkey dinners in them.

Watch for a gun show in your area.

You might check for a DRMO sale. You can buy anything from  a coffee cup to a TANK at the right sites.

You should be able to just type in DRMO in Yahoo or Google search!

DRMO is the DEFENCE DEPARTMENT resale  of used gov't property. Like I said you can buy ANYTHING that the MILITARY has used -GUNS
Each DRMO site will list what is up for sale seperate from other sites!!http://www.dispositionservices.dla.mil/drmo/drmo-locations.shtml
This will get you real close for a start!!

Merimite food storage/ transport containers go for $60-90 each.

I've seen guys make them from 1/4" ply & 2*2's then buy thin aluminum plain or diamond-plate pattern sheet to cover the large flat surfaces. They look great & require a little refinishing every 4-5 years if exposed to the elements in most parts of the country.
