They gotta be.  I don't see any exhaust pipes anywhere else.  The engine used Goldwing water cooled heads if i remember right.   8)

Yes those heads just would not flow enough....hence the scrap heap. The original plan for that chassis was another V8 like the Sorcerer on steroids but the NHRA outlawed that plan so my Dad had to think waaaaay out of the box on this...very cool engineering, data logging before it's time etc...just not enough motor.

There is nothing "conventional" in my garage....that's for sure.

I had land speed guy at my house the other day and wanted yo know where the rest of the car was that the triple engine pod went in...of course it had to be streamliner config (so he thought)...then he looked to his right and saw the poster and just shook his head in disbelief.

I love these bikes!

Thanks for sharing. I would love to see one of these run, even just a "Demo" run would be great. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Rock on!  8)

Great to see the Resurrection.Grew up in a  HONDA dealership from '65-'82 in Jacksonville,Fl.We sold lots of RC ENG. headers. This is one of our past mechanics '71 CB750.RC header,ARD mag,836 kit.Still runs great today.Header still in excellent condition.Nothing like quality manufacturing.

Thank you for bringing back history.

Update ...Team Sorcerer.

I picked up a full ride sponsor for a chassis build on the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe. A dead on copy of the original by one of the best in the business. We are going with the "Winston" version circa 1975 (spoiler style tail) with the traditional anodized gold Sun or DID rim (need to find out which)on the front.

More details to come but it looks very solid and  and may enable us to bring both TF bikes to the track at the same time.

Side by side burnouts anyone? Almost unfathomable to believe..but a lot closer to reality than I would have ever dreamed.

RCjr.

This version...is the plan for the triple...last one before the crash.

Not sure where this will make it's debut....I'd like to make it a significant motorcycle event. I'd  like to make it a class show at a high end event.

Any input?

That would depend on what time of the year the bikes are completed and what major functions are happening at that time.  The guy's over at DRAGBIKE.COM   would have a better view on that situation in my little opinion.  LOL !    ;)    When ever and where ever, it's gonna be motorcycle history !  Thats a given !

Russ, for bike only events, The Manufacturers Cup events are the biggest and are put on in April and November at Valdosta. These events were the old Prostar AMA series.
Last November saw over 600 entries from Top Fuel down to Street ET, one hell of a meeting.

600 entries...wow, that would do. Do they draw a decent spectator crowd?

Hell I suppose if every body brought a friend that would be big a spectator crowd.

I need to get out east with these things but I'm pretty sure they will be seen in CA first..probably Fontana....after all this is where it all began.

OBTW ...my Dad will be on hand at some if not all of our exhibitions.

As a teenager I remember an interview with Russ Collins Snr, (must have been in the Motorcycle News), where he described the triple engine bike as "the fastest coffee table in the world". I guess this was maybe after a big crash and the bike was retired?

Man I would love to see that bike in action. 8)

OK here is a clear color shot of the target restore for the triple...anyone recognize the front rim? I'm thinking Sun or DID...any input?

I know I have to find a Ceriani set of forks and I have some dimensions...any sources for that piece would also be appreciated. Go figure... the Sorcerer used a (now $50) stock Honda set of forks. I guess Dad figure out we didn't need the sexy RR stuff after all.

I also need to find ...what I think is an Ansen car wheel and have a hub turned once I have a chain line calculated.

I have a 2'X3' (1/3 scale)  side shot of the bike that was taken dead on from the side by a German photog back in 74 and I'm dimensioning the drawing to reverse engineer as accurately as possible. I know we have 82" wheelbase , 40degree rake monstor to build.

As soon as he is ready I'll be announcing the chassis sponsor as a team update. He wants to get a little progress before.

Thanks for any input....RCjr.

The newer Sun rims are not shouldered. Actually they have not been shouldered for about 20 years as far as I know. Talk to Buchanan's. You may have to go with Excel's.

RCjr,I believe that's an old school Sun rim.DID had no lip where they meet the tire.Triple I believe originally had a old school Kimtab on it! 8) Bill
Just looked, rear rim on Calendar Girl DID has lip! ::) Front doesn't,so I guess could be either one,DID stamped on side.Rims circa 1985.
