Sad that nobody makes their own cafe seats these days. Yes, it takes hours of (my/your)time, but nothing for sale on the market today comes close to the perfect fit/form and zen of doing it yourself. Everyone wants the look but hardly anybody wants to put forth the effort. Not that I dont mind making them for people, just sad to see a reborn culture turn into a drive thru of sorts. To me its like finding your long lost parents after forty years only to discover that they are nothing like you. Dissapointing. As a tough critic of both fabrication and style - IMO Dustin Kott has taken the pole position. Look up Kott Motorcycles before you opt for some cheap ABS molded off the shelf unit. I dont know Dustin, I know the type; and that, my friend....is Cafe.
P.S. Herm, from DCC has some good vids posted on DIY fiber techniques as well for the "go it alone" types.
