1972 350F pistons
« on: December 09, 2011, 10:39:47 PM »
does any one have the sizes and wear limits for the 3 oversize pistons and bores for these motors?

I have 3 of these motors. On one set of pistons there is a stamp 333 and the no 2 and the bores appear to be standard at 47mm, on the second set which also appears to be a standard 47 bore, I cant see the 333 but there is a no 3. On the third set which appears to be bored out the pistons have 333 and the no.4 and the piston skirt size appears to be 47.72 on all 4 pistons. I know the 333 refers to the 350F but does the other no. mean anything?

Does anyone know what the wear limits are and what the bore size should be so that I can see if it is still within the wear limit.

Cheers
Chris

Check the FAQ and manuals in the forum here, I think there are links to the  manuals that have them in it, load them on your computer, I think they're .pdf.

Ebay has under $100 usd aftermarket kits that are 47.5 I believe, rings and wrist pins included.
