Thank you Jim F
« on: December 11, 2011, 04:23:25 pm »
Shout out to Jim F for meeting me in Conyers today to give me a nice early Xmas present of an 836 bottom end with an F model head. I plan to put that motor to good use in my K model chassis.

I'll tear it down as time allows, check all bearing clearances and the crank journal specs. I might use those CR rods i've been holding on to and add some HD head and lower end studs. I'll let my local head rebuilder look at the head and freshen it up with a basic valve job along with some new HD valve springs while its apart. He does all of my Kaw and Zuk heads to.  I should be able to scrounge up all the missing cam tower parts. I''ve got a few parts motors around the shop just for that purpose. Time to try out that RC315 cam i've been pushing back in the corner for a while now. I need some lash caps  and a slotted sprocket to go with it.

Will do my best to document the build on the forum but with all my other projects going on simultaneously, i can't make any promises guys.

Another 750SOHC coming to a dragstrip near you!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill and Sam, if its ok with you guys, i will be wearing all black leathers instead of the traditional white Team Sam Green Racing gear. You know how it goes, there's a black sheep in every family-lol.

Well Sam,

It seems you're stuck with this black sheep in the family. One of us has to be different or our world would look like a blank sheet of paper.

Hi Mark, It's looking like Valdosta in April and November and Alastaro in June.
I might have another one up in New England area but it's dependent on what all the other events cost.
Keep looking in on my thread for news.
