« on: December 12, 2011, 06:03:01 AM »
Howdy, Gentlemen!
Long time reader, got myself finally registered to this great forum  :)
I'm Michael from Nashville, and from  browsing the posts here I know, that some of you already know my bike. I'm the owner of this beautiful Seeley F1:

Apart from the Seeley, there is also a 1975 CB750, a 1973 CB350 and several other bikes in my garage... love me some motorsickles!  :D
I run a small shop called Music City Metalcraft, specializing in custom coachbuilding and fabricating. You can check it out on Facebook.
I love vintage race bikes and cafe racers, although I also dig 1970s Digger choppers!

Welcome! Yes, that bike looks familiar from Axl's site. Mick the kick? Perhaps it's time to start a Seeley registry here?

Yep, that's me!  8) Is that a Seeley in your avatar? Maybe we should start an US Seeley register. Would be pretty short, though...  ;D

I'm the proud owner of #21. ;D Here is a fairly recent pic. It weighed in at 407 pounds with no fuel at that time. I've since shaved a few more pounds off...

Nice! You're running Weber DCOEs on it, right? What's the wheels, Morris or Lester? Mine is under 400 pound, strict race diet LOL. Gained a couple of pounds when I had to switch to Morris from the original Kuma electron wheels. I hit a drywall screw on the interstate and the front tire blew out instantly... don't try this at home! >:(
But it was better in a way, never really trusted the 34  year old magnesium casts... was looking into buying a set of PVMs, but $4500 was a "little" too much.
Do you have any contact to other Seeley owners here in the States?

The Webers are about 4 pounds heavier than the stock carbs, but worth every gram, IMHO. The wheels are Morris.

Frankenfrank: Thanks for the nice cover, get a lot of compliments on it and always point the people your way :-)
I read the original thread where that pic is from and had to chckle a bit about the comment on the cheapo shocks. My Konis started leaking, so I gave the cheapos a shot, since you can't beat the price... of course they don't work well, but I didn't expect anything else. Didn't keep me fro tearing up the track a bit at Barber...

Scott:
I love the DCOE Webers!!!! Have them on two of our Loti. They are so simple, robust and easy to tune! And the sound....  :D

Got any spare chokes? I'm currently running 30mm, but I would like to experiment. 8)

PS If Loti is plural for Lotus, I'm also a fan of the other Colin. ;)

Scott, no spare chokes, sorry! Mine are set up, only switch jets every now and then.
Yes, it's plural for Lotus  ;) '71 Europa S2 (1 45DCOE), '74 Elite (2 40DCOE), '97 Elise S1 grace our garage(s).  8)
