77k 78k are the engines the same

wondering if the 77k and 78k motors are the same thanks

Somewhere there is a list of changes to the enignes over the model years. The k7 and k8 are virtually the same except for some minor minor changes. Since I am at work, I dont have time to find it. But since this topic is now bumped, maybe someone else with find it.

These engines are derived from the 75/76 750F engine. From the 77 K the 78 K uses stronger springs (good) and retainers taken rom the 77/78 F. The valves are different from the 77 K in that the grooves changed for the 77/78 F retainers.

Honda Chopper does not mention that their F1 is actually the 1975 F or F0 that started with that particular serial number
