Novi Bike Show - Who's going?
« on: December 17, 2011, 06:02:42 AM »
Novi International Show is Jan. 6, 7 & 8, 2012. I'll be there with other VJMC members. First time for me displaying the K5. Looking forward to talking with other bike owners/riders.

Anyone else going?

I always try to get there - and actually get there about half of the time.

Seanbarney41 - I live in Lawton, not too far from you. I'd offer to give you a ride, but plan to be there the three days, staying with relatives. Hope you can make it.

As a side note; I'm having a "workshop" at my place on Jan., 14, 2012. Starts at noon, gets over about 4pm (you can come & go whenever you wish). You're more than welcome to join us. Its very informal. Meet other bike owners/riders, look at some of the projects, and maybe work on something you bring. This is the first of what will probably be more throughout the year. I do this with the VW club, we've reassembled motors, turned drums, multiple brake jobs and misc work. There's no charge for the using the tools and helping out. Hope you can join us. PM if you'd like directions.
*Anyone else is welcome as well

You are very generous Ray. Your bike is the cleanest I have seen pictured here...... A trophy winner if you put it in a competition.

I just try to have a decent rider.

I'm fortunate that my co-worker is a painter... by passion, it's not his day job. He did a terrific job on my repaint, which took the worst visual on the bike and made it the best. I gotta work hard to keep up the rest of the neighborhood, so to speak. 2000 miles a year puts a lot of dirt on a motor.

Kevin,

Thanks for the kudos. Look forward to seeing your bike sometime. As a side; just posted some info & pics in the Jan/2012 Bike of the Month thread.

Getting the trailer ready for Novi. Had to replace the tires (cracks in the side walls...)

Dave - look forward to meeting you. I'll be at the VJMC booth from 10-11am on Sunday. Otherwise; look for the weird older guy looking & drooling at all the cool bikes  ;D

Having a great time. Met a lot of people. Jon's H2 gets the OMG looks and most of the others get the "I have one of those" - "Wish I still had my..." - " I remember when..." & "I have a friend that has one". Lots & lots of bikes.

Here's a few pics. I'll post more later.
