Hello from Oak Ridge TN
« on: December 14, 2011, 08:16:59 PM »
Hello all,

My first mc was a 1976 CB550F, flake sapphire blue.  As with many other mc's I no longer have, I kick myself occasionally for having sold them during some fit of irrationality.

Fast forward to 2011, I spot a 76 CB550F sapphire blue on Ebay, and ... my wife buys it for my birthday.  Yep!  Nearly 100% original, very good cosmetic and working condition, but does need a few parts and much TLC.

Current rides are a 1984 BMW R100RS (pristine, I've had it for 27 years) and a 2006 Buell XB12Ss (Lightning Long).  Wife rides a 2007 Bonneville Black.

Favorite rides are twisty country roads all over east TN.  We live just a few minutes from the Devil's Triangle (TN 116 & 330) and about an hour from the Tail of the Dragon (US 129).

I've been lurking on the website for a couple months; looks like a really nice Forum.

Hi fellow newbie, welcome!
You're from Oak Ridge, nice part of Tn to ride!
See ya on the road! :)
The part that needs the most upgrading is the nut holding the handlebars
