Spoke to Ev on the phone tonight.
She is at my sisters.
I sent her up for a bit of R&R.
Until now she hadn't left my side since the crash in November.
I mentioned that I had started to write a race report for you blokes on the forum.
She thought it was a good idea and told me to get stuck into it.
As we where about to say our goodbye's and hang up I told her the boys had just about finished repairing the bike.
They have come up with a plan that would allowe us to run the rear and sidecar brakes from the handle bars and still comply with the GCR's.
I told her I thought I could get myself fit enough to ride the Island Classic come next January.............

......... I think I've broken her heart :(.........
......... God I can be a selfish bastard sometimes.

How's things going me old sausage, you back from ya day trip yet ? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Could be worse mate, Stevie Wonder has never seen his home! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Badum Tish!

(Today my wife wrapped up a fuschia plant to give to my mum as a gift, mum used to grow a lot of fuschias at their old place but hasn't grown any for a while. I said to my wife 'giving mum that plant is a great idea...

... maybe she will get back to the fuschia).

I think I have been hanging around Terry too much.

You do realize that you will have to reset the whole suspension on the chair, now that you've lost so much ballast, right?  ;D

6, 7 HP? What was the total weight, including riders? (The last time I asked about weight, you accused me of making fat jokes; I was only asking about the bike then. :P)

I did visit Brian in person this afternoon!

It was great to meet Brian and have a good old chat about bikes, compare notes on what a thoroughly decent bloke Terry is, and just shoot the breeze in general. Brian even gave me a good lead on a bloke to call in on when I pass through Ararat tomorrow.

Finally - after three attempts I met the bloke - and it was well worth the effort, I hope I can get in to see you again sometime soon Brian.

I followed up on Brian's lead on that bloke in Ararat, 'Bondy' is his name and 'Brass Balls Motorcycles' is his business.

Had a great chat with Bondy and learn't a few more things about Jap fours. Bondy did not have 'the frame' (you know which one I mean Brian)  in the shop, it is at home at the moment.

But he had an old Kawasaki custom chopper frame sitting there with a plunger rear end on it - an I am now thinking 'CB750 plunger frame custom build"...

Thanks for the tip-off Brian - Bondy says g'day and hopes you are out and about soon.

I called into that shop on the way back from the island classic, he had only just opened and took us out the back and showed us his projects. Loved his nitrous 750.
Seemed like a really nice bloke.

G'Day Brian, your recovery news just keeps getting better.

Things are moving along, but too slowly.  Frame was suppose to be ready over a week ago. :(  Without it I can't finish brake, fuel lines, & wiring.  Crank is out for rebuild and welding, and I P/U a used 750 barrel and new Wiesco pistons.  Needs honing for a final fit.  Wheels are rebuilt, and tires mounted, I'll install the resurfaced disks tomorrow.  Still have a month before 'test & tune' day, but time is getting short....  I'll post some pictures to my sidecar thread shortly, to bring things up to date.

Looking forward to the pic's Brian.
While we are throwing a few vid. clips around, check this one out.
This is a bloke called Tim Cambell ( Honda) racing another mate of mine Geoff Grant ( H2 Kwaka) at Philip Island.
Watch carefully at the 3:40 mark. This happend through the very quick left hander entering Gardner Straight at over 100MPH!
No wonder the bastard gave me a touch up at the Oz Titles last year. ;D
