I have a CB750 that I mistakenly put on the for sale board instead of here.    http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101330.0

Take a look.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Ray's RC295 cam arrived today, looks good mate, thanks very much! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I am very interested to know how that one performs Terry, i have read it has a bit more torque than the 315 and the bigger Megacycle cams.....

Thanks Mick, I just had a look at Axl's site but there was bugger-all info there, so I googled it and found this thread, where Bill provided some good specs: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=80443.0

I'm pulling my engine apart soon to install a CycleX 915 kit, so I might install it then and give the Megacycle 125/75 a rest. The Megacycle cam is really good at high RPM, but I'd prefer a tad more torque. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Oooh, nice! I'd bid, but the wife had to take one of our cats to the vet today, poor bugger's got a blocked bladder so once they fix that I'll be too poor to bid for much for a little while. No biggie, someone will want that pipe, it looks sweet! Cheers, Terry. ;D

The 295 is what we have in the auto at the moment Terry. We sent the Meggacycle 175 which we had had in before to Brian leading us to his plight when we didn't hear from him.
The 175 is a great cam but was to much top end for the auto to handle. When Billy put in the 295, it transformed the bike completley. A much wider spread of power without loosing the big top end rush, you'll like it Terry.

Thanks Sam, that's good to know. My wife's cat's blocked pizzle has delayed me ordering the Cyclex 915 kit until next month, and I also need to order some new main and conrod bearings, but I'm looking forwards to having a nice torquey engine in the next couple of months, and the 295 cam will be a real bonus. Thanks again Ray! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hey, I found something to auction.

One set of four Steel Dragon Performance custom made brass velocity stacks to suit CB750F carbs.

I had these made for my bike, but ended up with Tintop's setup - so these are spare.

In 'as new' condition' complete with three grub screws per stack and a brass mesh filter per stack too.

Cost me a bit - but I will start them here at $50 (US dollars), with free postage worldwide.

I am back in Australia on the 13 February - so can we end the bids then?

cheers,

Cliff (maduncle)

That looks superb Bill, I love those Yoshi rods, but I blew the head gasket on my 750 yesterday and did some undetermined damage to my Rocket III today (which has only 6000 miles on it, fcuk it.....) so I'm gonna resist the temptation to bid for more of your treasures, but I will put a couple more items on, as I find things that I think you'll all like. Cheers, Terry. :D

Well, I don't have a treasure trove like bellcows - but I do have something to offer here.

This is a Shark RSR (size large) - it is easily the most comfortable lid I have ever placed on my noggin.  It has an interesting history, too.  I bought this helmet at a Cycle World charity auction, with the intent of using it for my wife and any other pillion that might need it, or to lend to friends using one of my bikes, etc.  It was used by the magazine to test the product, and worn all of once.  I am told (although I have yet to find it) that the helmet can actually be found in one of the magazine issues from 2005.

The good: it looks pretty cool.  I have put a brand new dark visor on it (these things are pinlock, and cost a small fortune).  I have the clear visor too and it's in pretty good shape (a few surface scuffs, nothing major).  It's uber comfortable - I did take it for a test ride myself.  The foam is hard, like it should be, with no percievable soft spots.  The padding is as new inside the lid.  Being worn all of about twice, it doesn't smell like helmet.  ;D

The (potentially) bad - it's from 2005.  I know the old adage about helmets being no good after 5 years, although this one has an actual indicator that is supposed to turn red when it should no longer be worn (although I assume this has more to do with impacts then age) - it is still white.  Just be aware of the age if that's an issue for you.

I offer it up for auction, let's say until midnight Western Time on Feb 15.  I place no reserve on it.  If it reaches $50, I will pay the shipping on it to the US or Canada.  If not, buyer pays shipping.  All proceeds will go to Bear and his family.  Cheers, and happy building!  8)

I had a quick chat with Brian a little while ago, he's confirmed that although it was "touch and go" as to whether he'd be allowed out of the hospital for the the day, he'll definitely be going to Phillip Island on Sunday.

For all the whining I hear about the public health system here in Victoria, I have to say that Brian is being very well looked after. The hospital is providing a Toyota HiAce bus especially modified for wheelchair access (hydraulic tailgate etc) that families can hire for day trips, so one of Brian's mates is going to drive him down to the Island on Sunday, or if his mate can't, I will. I think this will be a great thing for him to get out of the rehab ward for a day, and down to the Aussie mecca of classic motorcycle racing.

Mmmmnn, here I am daydreaming about Phillip Island, is that Castrol R I can smell? Or did the dog just fart? Fcuking dog! ;D
Stop putting Castrol R in his water dish but if he can fart and smell like the old Castrol R then go for it

I have a CB750 that I mistakenly put on the for sale board instead of here.    http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101330.0

Take a look.

I donated $100 to the Bear fund for the bike.  I finally have a Honda I can call my own!  I've only been here, what, 3 years now?
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
