Where did you get them at? I'd like to check them out. Bike is coming along nice. I really like the color.

I got them from a buyer on eBay, took some modification to get the top eye lid hole to fit but they work. The buy is called ophir4u and here is a link to the ones I purchased.

Thanks man I am going to check it out. I wonder how these things would ride on these bikes.

Did they not have the shocks with the right size eye holes?

Just took It for a test spin, they feel grew!

They feel what?

Your shocks mount on the bottom with a clevis style mount. Both shocks in the Ebay auctions have eyelets. Did they send you the clevis mount with the shock? I would be very wary of the mounts you have, they are very weak and some guys have broken them off just on installation. These are the Chinese shocks and are worthless from what I have read until you modify them to work correctly.

Same seller has the eye to clevis.

Sorry for the Auto correct, the feel much better then broken 30 year old shocks, sure they are Chinese, but still a improvement over the stock broken ones. For the price, I could care less if they last 1 season, 1 year or 1 month. Each shock comes with a set of Clevis mounts.

Small update, the current shocks on the bike are beyond bad so I decided to give these a try. For the price I paid, if they suck then oh well. I really like the look but I am not expecting an Ohlins type ride.

What did these run?

115.00 shipped. On the ground they feel much better the original blown shocks.

Don't get too excited about those shocks mate, they are rubbish, there are a couple of detailed threads on here {one recent} about the poor quality of these shocks, one member had them literally fall apart while riding, I bought a set out of curiosity about 5 years ago and will not use them at all, cheap rubbish made with inferior materials.....  If i find the latest thread i will post it here.... ;)

Here's the thread, click on Berts link for a good run down on them, the member that had them fail is in that thread as well.... ;)

Thanks for all the feedback on the shocks. For the price I figured I would give them a try. I rode the bike yesterday about 15 miles. They felt good, not like my ohlins on my drag bike but still felt decent. The quality is definitely not top notch. If I run into any issues, I will have them swapped to a traditional shock. For the time being, they are doing good.

There's just the one big one in Chicago, but Rockerbox up in Milwaukee in August is a blast. I rode my 550 up there in 2011 and drove my MG up last year and met up with a bunch of the guys from the forum.
