I'm failing to understand how that is a filter.

I see a feed line but no exit line?

Better pay the $200 "fuel filter" tax and stay out of trouble.   ;)

It is actually a sound suppressor aka gun silencer.

Got it thank you. This happens once in a while, I read the forums from the 'new posts' and 'new replies' buttons at the top and I don't often seem to catch what section a thread is located in.

Carry on.

Actually they are solvent trap fuel filters... ;D, just becoming popular for repurposing as suppressors ;):

Not a very good one. They dont withstand the pressure from common loads and blow apart. Not very quiet either. Waste of money gimmick considering the $200 tax stamp and all the hoops to jump through. There are better cheap homemade options, but it’s worth stepping up to a real one starting at a few hundred bucks.

Edit: Lol previous post with vid wasn’t there when I started typing, but supports my point.

Guys, the only reason I posted it was because I found the name amusing, that's why it is in humor section.
