Clutch parts
« on: May 16, 2007, 12:45:13 PM »
I'm a newbie so bare with me. My baby (CB400/4) needs several parts for her clutch. Namely the clutch cam plate, ball retainer and clutch lifter pad (and the 3 bearings, of course). It looks as though the same mechanism is also used on the CB550/4. Is this true and are there any other Honda bikes that do likewise? If so I can widen my search via dismantlers, dealers, Ebay, etc. Any ideas, guys?

They are all -300 parts, originally from a 750-4. I don't have a 500/550 parts book at hand but the 750 parts will certainly work.

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Also the 350-4 has a different clutch actuating system so the cam parts are almost certainly different, although many other engine parts are interchangeable.
