Cafe seat for a CB5500
« on: April 08, 2005, 12:31:20 PM »
Well, saw a post for cafe type bars,  but wondering if someone knows where to get ahold of a nice cafe seat for a CB550.  I've seen these things on ebay (and elsewhere) for 350s and 750s, but never for the 550s.  Can someone help me out?
thanks,
paul

My seat is labelled "Rebel". I know Carpy makes cafe seats for 750s, check out his website, maybe he can fix you a 550 seat.

Stay away from the Glass From The Past - a custom fiber glass shop in the state of Oregon http://all-digital.net/gftp.

Two years ago I had bought a seat from them.  Their lack of professionalism should have been a warning sign when I had to wait days to receive a simple answer and confirmation.  Although the seat that I ordered -  Boat Tail A - was to fit narrow frame bikes, the dimensions given to me turned out to be wrong and consequently the seat was too narrow to fit a 550 frame.
I had paid $150 and never received my money back nor had the seat replaced.  My phone calls were never returned.
Karma will take care of it.  Good luck on your search.
