Hey all,
I haven't posted in a long, long, long time. Since before the change to the web hosted forum.
In any case, I have been slowly culling my collection and are down to the last two bikes I'm going to get rid of.
I looking for what I should be looking for before I post the bikes here, on CL, or maybe Ebay.
1.  1970 CB750 (blue) all there, motor turns over, trans goes through all gears, ect, not quite a parts bike, but not perfect by any means.
2. 1977 CB550SS most likely a parts bike, missing right side cover, bent bars dented tank from PO driving into it in the garage :-(
Couple pics:

Thanks for your honest opinions in advance,
Jack

I walk into garages at least 10 times a year and buy bikes like that for $150-250 each. That is if they have clean titles and if the rims are usable.  It will take $1200 plus in parts to put either of them back on the road with proper service and cosmetics.

I agree with King on this one....

750 might bring more being a 70' and having some collector value....but $500 tops.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I'm not really looking to part them, I have too much on my plate to deal with that.
I would rather just continue to hold onto them rather than fire sale them.
I have two kids, two race cars, and three cats and one wife......along with a few other running bikes, so I'm stretched pretty thin for thinking about another resto project.
The 750 was going to be "cafed out", and I have some parts like a fairing ect ready for it. Just not right now timing-wise!
There seems to be some local interest, we will see how that pans out, if it dosn't, well off to Ebay.
Thanks to all for their opinions.
Jack
