It's not a pump but part of the crankcase breathing system that was put on as pollution control came into being. Don't know how the Pod People deal with it. Think about it as you will gain no performance advantage, it's all about the looks. Some never get it to run right and go back to the airbox. Some get it to run fine. Others fool themselves into thinking it runs fine even though they have issues in rain, crosswinds, or specific RPM ranges. Just keep your airbox around just in case.
