looks about right.
at TDC that notch in your second picture should be aligned with the head's surface. that seems to be the case.

Finally finishing putting together the engine but now it's on to bigger headaches

WIRING !!
I have no clue about wiring and I looked around and found the motogadget m unit
I wanted to hear some feedback from people here if that's something I should look into and if it's worth it ?
It's kinda pricey but if it saves me time (I ain't got much of it ) and having to go through headaches on the weekend then I'm all for it

Do a quick search here on motogadget. All of my builds have/will have these units for the exact reasons you listed. High quality, ease of use, etc etc etc. Revival cycles has a quick video on YouTube that is pretty convincing as well

I do know the M-unit quite well having installed dozens, plus helped numerous folks with their own installs. Whether you should use one depends heavily on a few criteria in my opinion:

1. Do you have the stock harness and is it usable?
2. Are you planning to use the stock handlebar controls, or aftermarket?
3. What gauges are you planning on running?
4. Are you planning to run full features, or stripped down lighting? (You know, no turn signals, limited gauges, etc)
5. Do you have any experience with wiring, or are you willing to learn?

Its true, the M-unit makes things more simple if you are starting from scratch, but you are committed to essentially an entirely new harness (which is still easier and more self-explanatory than a stock to many newbies). I like the product not just for wiring ease (all my bikes have had butchered and hacked harnesses, so a do-over was necessary) but also for the extra features embedded within it.

So if you're building a custom or rest-mod, it may make sense. If you're trying to return to stock and perform a resurrection, I'd shy away from it. But if you opt for it, let me know, I'll help all I can.

I have the stock harness but I don't think it's usable
And I'm planning on using after market clip ons and probably gunna run limited features a small speedometer and tachometer with a m unit switch With some turn signals headlight of course

And no I have no experience with wiring but yeah I'm willing to learn

It's pretty safe to say I'll be going with the munit

A couple of things to consider:

For the total number of push buttons on the bars, count the "features", i.e. Turn L (1), R (2), Horn (3), HI/LO (4), Start (5). So in this configuration, you need a 2-button on one side, and a 3 button on the other. You can use a single button from the set above to act as "Start" and "Kill" by double pressing the button while running (Kills ignition). Momentary buttons don't toggle between L & R for turns, so that's why you'll need 2 buttons for that behavior. The M-unit automatically burns the headlight with the key ON, but suspends it while starting the bike. Pressing the button toggles to HI, press again, toggles back to LO. Holding the button extinguishes the headlight altogether.

Those gauges are fine, but you will need to run "diodes" inline between the TURN bulb on the gauge and the output from the M-unit. The reason is the gauge has only a single input wire to illuminate the bulb, but you have two "signal" wires (L & R). Without a diode (a diode is essentially a check valve preventing current from flowing in both directions) all turn signals on your bike will illuminate whenever either side is ignited. The diode will prevent "bleed over" of power from the "Left" side to the "Right". They're cheap, and easy to install, but required.

If you ever upgrade to a digital/electronic gauge, you may also need another button to act as the "Menu" toggle (MotoG gauges require this to scroll through the LCD screens).

If you use an M-unit, I'm a big fan of using a modern Regulator/Rectifier combo unit from Rick's Motorsports (model 10-100). You will need to retain the stock Starter Solenoid, but can discard the Starter Safety Motor, Flasher relay, Horn Buzzer, and Clutch Safety switch on your bike. That simplifies things a bit further for you on the wiring and space for installs.
