RIP Robert Mondavi
« on: May 16, 2008, 05:25:28 PM »
It saddens me to report that Robert Mondavi, the DEAN of California wines passed away today. He was 94 y/o. :'( :'( :'( :'(
I had the honor to meet him several years ago, even had my picture taken with him. As big an icon to the industry as he was, he remained an humble and generous man. He was a true gentleman.
Without Mr. Mondavi the wine industry in this country would have taken much, much longer to prosper. He will be sorely missed. Thank You for everything you did to bring wine to the American dinner table. 8) 8)

He made a nice bottle, very good wine maker.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Wow.  Kind of a surprise to realize he was human- like he would just always be around somehow.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!
