For those who have done Modern Fork Swaps
« on: January 14, 2012, 11:06:27 AM »
Were any of you able to keep your mechanical speedometer?  I've read that with the increased axle size you have to could find a speedo drive with a 25mm ID (in my case) but i haven't seen anyone who had one.  Of the swaps i have seen, ppl have either used electronic speedos with magnetic pickups or gone without speedometers.

I'd like to try & keep the mechanical drive but not sure if a 25mm speedo drive would fit within the space between the fork & the brake rotor.

Did you swap the entire front end? or just the forks.

Just the forks.  Like FunJimmy, IndustrialCafe, Squirrley, and Staggerlee

Hi cwchan,
I think if you gave some pictures(I'm still trying to learn how to upload ???)and then described the ones you have a bit there may be more feedback.
