CB750F Steering Stem Bearings

Getting ready to strip down my '76 CB750F and powdercoat the frame.  I'm going to replace the steering stem bearings with tapered style bearings when I put things back together.  A long time ago I read here that there was a general industrial bearing that you could swap into these bikes.  Anyone have that info still?  Checked past threads, but came up empty handed.

There might be a std size, but AllBalls racing has a nice kit, spacers included & good instructions for making it work out. 

Eviel-Bay always has someone selling them.

Cool. I guess anything worth doing is worth doing right.  Steering is pretty important with any motorcycle :)

There were some bearing numbers floating around once I bought them but they had no races. And no races were available to fit. I got lucky and returned them to buy the all balls kit.

The original Timken bearing numbers were/are in the Thoughts of Hondaman collection, but Timken quit making the ones that were a direct drop-in fit. Today, KML makes the ones for All Balls, and they are pretty good. For best results, use those and not the cheap ones that come in a red box from China: I have tried them and they disappoint.
