Oil reservoir question

 To all - this is the first time I’ve ever used one of these forum things - so here goes

I have a mid-seventies cb which I plan to cafe, on others I’ve seen the stock oil bags have been removed, what I want to know is are they truly removing them or are they just relocating them? If they are losing the tank how can they do this? Doesn’t it leave the beast low on oil? If they are being relocated is the replacement a simple reservoir with an inlet and outlet or is there some fancy pluming to be done?

Would appreciate any knowledge/help on this topic that y'all might be able to offer

they have to be relocated somewhere unless someone was to convert them to a wet sump which defeats the purpose of having a dry sump in the first place dry sump=more horsepower less loss from splash there have been a lot of creative ideas to make oil tanks that look as though they are not even there also remember it will have to have a battery somewhere too since it is a three phase alternator and not a generator no battery means no spark

I plan on relocating mine with a custom piece. Something similar to this maybe, The battery is in the tail section with all the wiring. I saw this on ebay and friended him on Facebook. He does outstanding work. His bike similar to this just sold for $6500.

Thanks guys this is as I thought,  so as far as the plumbing issue are there any special needs.  I have built one for my Triumph and it had to have a bleed for the top end off the return side (the pressured side).

I believe the tank has to be vented but that may have also been changed with the model years some one else with experience with your year may help answer that question
