Wiring turn signals for a 66 CL160 - help
« on: January 18, 2012, 09:07:23 PM »
I recently took on the challenge of wiring some turn signals onto my 66 CL160.  I purchased some front and back signals from a '72 350.  With some minor adjustments all signals look great.  I also updates the headlight/horn switch with a newer headlight/horn/signal combo.

I have the signals properly connected to the wiring harness (orange and light blue) but I don't think I have power to the signals and disrupted all prvious connections.  I have been troubleshooting with the network of wires in the headlight area.

Here are the issues I've identified (more will likely surface)
1. The only electrical component that is working now is the taillight when the ignition is in 4th position.
2. The new switch may not be compatible.
3. Loose ground wires on the rear signals
4. ...

Here are some pics for illustration.  This is my first bike project and everything was great until I took on this signal idea.  Please Help
