Great shots Pete and looking forward to the next lot.

I was thinking that if you get GZ to the Meadows Bakery, he might like to get stuck into an Aussie meat pie and then there's the Meadows pub down the road a bit for a cleansing ale afterwards.

A couple of nice looking 750's there at PI mate. (and the TRex too)  8)
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

G'Day Pete, great pics mate, thanks for posting them, and hang on to that little bugger on the weekend ride, God help you if you lose him! ;D

GZ's latest adventure.....
Now, apart from my normal Mon-Fri job, I also work as a motorcycle instructor on some weekends, so I thought GZ would enjoy a day out today, and maybe pick up a few pointers.

Here he is trying one of the bikes out for size....

And here is listening intently to my instructions....

And then we did a braking test....his technique is a little heavy handed and he needs to do a bit more practice......

And after the circle work, well, things didn't end up real good.....

But he pulled through ok, and is once again safely on my desk watching me type.
He sends his love to you all and says he had a hoot of a day and can't wait to the next exciting Aussie adventure.
The weather has turned sh*t here so a meet up with a few others sohc'ers ain't gonna happen tomorrow, but maybe next weekend. That is the plan.
Cheers
Peter and GZ.  :-*

It looks as though the Bundy Rum has had the desired effect again.   ;D
Rumour has it that our little mate is partial to a bit if a snort on the old Queensland Diesel since he arrived here.

Ya gotta watch him mate.  ;)  8)

Looking forward to seeing GZ and meeting Peter next Saturday at Meadows if it doesn't bloody rain again. Should I bring a flask of bundy for him, he will need it for the trip west.

Well we braved the elements today, and slushed and slipped our way to Meadows - not the best day for riding, but we have to keep the lizard moving.....if only he could help to clean the bikes after.

Here's routs (on left), blue 400/4 and me, red 750/4, with the lizard after a coffee and getting ready to brave it again for a ride back to Victor Harbor.

Here he is getting acquainted with the other member of my family, the yellow 400/4

Here he is taking in the view of Victor Harbor from the Bluff Lookout

And here he is having a rest and admiring the view of my home town, Victor Harbor

All in all a good day and great to spend some time with routs. Pity the bikes got so dirty - very unseasonal weather for these parts. We also had a ducati with us but we kept the lizard away from that.
Total Km's today....130.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with paulmac, and will get some more pics, then GZ heads to Western Australia.....I think. Mick - instructions and address please.
Cheers
Peter.

Well the lizard was a little spoilt today and managed to do another 160km, when I met up with paulmac at Meadows, coffee and another egg'n'bacon sandwich (that's a worry) and then a ride to Strathalbyn where we met up with another bloke on a 750/4 who just happened to be passing by. You meet the nicest people on a Honda.....where have I heard that before.  ::)
A very social day, and enjoyed Paul's company, nice fella - his 500/4 is a real original gem.
Today was bright and sunny, in fact, GZ spent some time on the handlebars at the coffee stop and became quite soft in the sun.......there's got to be a line or two in that but I'll leave it there.... :o ;D

Here's paulmac

And GZ admiring the mighty 500

So that's about it for Sth Aus - when I get an address I'll be sending him over to Western Aust courtesy Oz Post - he will be crossing the Nullabor (which for you o/s peoples means "treeless plain" - which is crap - I've crossed it by road and I saw one tree.... :o).

Been great having the lizard here, I reckon he enjoyed it, and it was a chance to meet up with forum members and make new friends - and that's what this is all about. ;)

Great photos guys and GZ looks like he thouroughly enjoyed himself as well.

That is a nice part of South Aust down through that region and especially riding a bike.
Some terrific countryside and townships with a lot of history.

Down through that region was one of my favorites on a bike back in the 70's.
And there was also the original Devils Elbow bend on the way home to scrape off a bit more metal from the centre stand.
The old Eagle on the Hill pub was a good watering hole for a quick beer and a feed as well.

Well done fellas.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Yeh mate - spent a lot of time on that road back in the day, when i had my original 750 in 73 I remember taking my mum ( :o :o) for a ride up to eagle on the hill, bouncing off the centrestand and revving its ring off - she was screaming, but i think deep down she quite enjoyed it.... ;D ;D
Dear old thing she was.  :'(

Bull Creek road got a workout today too.
