Just a quick update
Still waiting on the cam, cylinder studs, and a few other parts that are still on order to come in
Mike is cracking the whip on his end and doing a fine job in support of this project.
the crank is still out and I hope to hear something be the end of the week
next is the plain bearings and the big end bearings,
case studs need to be installed but I am waiting for the crank and bearing work to be finished before that

more to follow as soon as I get the crank in

That fairing looks massive! You need a turbo to push that through the air!

I have actually done a lot of trimming to get the look the way want it
but it is a large fairing but it does a good job of getting a large guy out of the wind
I had the bike around 100 or so down one of my highways and the bike was rock solid

I am thinking of changing the seat to give me a larger seat area (But still a cafe style seat) to rest my big rear end on as that CR replica
is damn uncomfortable

Got the clutch cover machined for the drain line
that was kind of scary as there is not a lot of room
from braking into something that your not suppose to
and braking out on the sealing surface
but it worked and should be find

Oh yes you do. The larger you can go the better. For a oil drain off of a turbocharger the line must be large because of the turbo spinning so super fast causes the hot oil that is draining to become " FROTHY" or " FOAMY ". You always want the oil line to drop down as low as you can below the turbo"s housing for better drainage.

I looked at putting it next to the kick starter but there are some strengthening ribs in that area
and I didn't want to have to mill those away to get it to drain.
I just moved between the next set of clearance holes and it should be fine
Terry kizer (Mr. Turbo) replaced all the hoses with new ones and he said that the return needed to be as big
as possible just as Jon mentioned

enjoy what a lightened, balanced and nitride coated crank looks like (You really have to see it in person)

only on the out side of each big end assembly. They machined off about .250 per half of the counter weights (

)
and left the in side alone (Between the con rods)
I was more concerned about getting the balancing part perfect
and keeping it plenty strong
This is the same application that Brian at livingood motor sports use when he builds his road race motors
and has never had a crank fail
Also the nitride coating makes the crank look dull so its not quite as pretty as your cranks

thats a 3/8 NPT supplied by Mr. Turbo to fit the oil drain line out of the turbo
it needs to be as big as you can get it

Jim....is the AN tapered side a -10 or -8......it looks big in the pic like a -10.
