its been in the making for almost 2.5 years so it needs to finish.
although I look on the other side of my shop and the lift is empty, No bikes to work on
I guess its almost over..............................................well its never really over until the fat guy sings
and I cant sing so,
But there might be another turbo project in the near future. Hey Mike, do you have any more of your 1000cc jugs? :)

Got some good runs on the dyno with the turbo bike
First off the charging system decided to stop charging but no big deal. Threw in a shop battery and away we went
Carb was WAY off as it was too lean on top and mid range (AF was18.1) Went from a 210 main to a 220 the to a 230 and got it down to an AF of 12.1. Mid range was still lean and changed to a richer needle and still too lean. Have to order a richer needle then tackle bottom end.
All and all it was a good start . This was the first time we really ran it hard and a good way to break
It in
Going to order needles and start again
More to come
Jim
Also had some oil spitting out of the upper vent from the oil tank?
Too much oil ?

Hey Jim, if the oil is coming from the larger vent tube, it is most likely over-filled. If the oil is coming from the smaller tube, that is the drain from the oil/air separator inside the oil tank, and should be connected to the spigot at the rear of the transmission.

How did you dyno the bike with no boost?? Did you lock the waste-gate open?
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Thanks Scott
I thought it might be a little full and the oil is from the
Upper breather on the oil tank
Yes the gate is open and once the Carburator is set (A/F)
Then we will start to close it off (or open it) and
Start to bring in boost
Check A/F under boost and either put timing back in
Or take it out
Need to order a regulator rectifier and get ready
For round 2 of the dyno runs
Oh and order some richer needles

How can you set the main without the boost factored in? Is there aux gas supply or something?

Thats why we are going to watch the A/F when boost kicks in
sense its a suck threw system, it should be all relative
the more it sucks then the more fuel is drawn but again
we will be watching the A/F and the fuel pressure very closely

It's great seeing people modding these bikes for more power. Nothing like getting looks on a vintage bike.

I'd need one to hold, two-2 1/2 lb bottles. Not sure about the core. I guess I'll have to call you to discuss details.
What materials did you build it from??
