So this is the 74cb750 i picked up a few weeks back for 400 bucks. PO said he had it running in the spring, just needed some jetting for the Pods. After further investigation(dropping the bowls and finding green sludge) i call BS on that, its been years since its ran. No biggie, carbs are apart and soaking now. My intentions for this bike is a low budget cruiser/muscle bike. I'm going to try to keep it under 1000 total investment, 800 would be great. I'm also going to try to get it done by the end of february, which might be a lofty goal with everything i have on my plate, and i'm going to try to take time to do this build thread. here are some pics of what i'm starting with.

I spent 3 hours on it this evening. First started with the carbs, tore them apart and got them soaking. then i had to switch the intake boots around, they were on backwards and out of order. I had to fix the PO attempt to make the key switch wires longer, so a little soldering and i had power. next i cleaned and gapped points, new plugs, and removed plug caps, cut wire back a lil and replaced caps and have good spark.
  Tomorrow i plan on getting the carbs back together and getting it fired up.  then onto wiring, its a disaster, wires everywhere, hoping to find a diagram on here. most of the bikes i've built in the past, i;ve junked the stock harness and built my own, i'm going to try to salvage this one.  anyone know what this wire goes to that was hanging out in the battery box? it has 12v, i dont see anything close by it that it would plug into, its a female spade.
