« on: May 26, 2006, 04:09:52 PM »
Anyone want to? Weather is getting nice and I'd like to take a longggggggg trip. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA but I'd be willing to travel... any ideas?

I think it's about time an annual meet was established on each continent (at a minimum).  The Sturgis of SOHC4.

I'd certainly be willing to travel 100's of miles - perhaps we need an Eastern North American gathering.  I'm in Toronto, which is only 6 hours from Pittsburgh.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=toronto,+on&daddr=pittsburgh,+pa&om=1

Perhaps we need to plot people's locations on a map to determine a decent place to gather.  I'd be happy to make up the map - I'm not technically inclined so I'd just be putting numbers on a map to indicate number of riders in a given city.  I'm sure Google Earth would allow us to do something more interactive, but let's at least get started.

Yep, sounds like a group ride forming to me.  It'll be my first so lets get it figured out and do it.

May has been a total wash (no pun intended) for M/C riding here in Pittsburgh.

I'm thinking about riding out to Columbus next Saturday for the Jap bike show at the AMA museum.

I'm in Leechburg.

i added myself as well.
is there a master list of members for this group?  BMWMOA has a list like that with names and phone #s of people who could help out in time of need should one be doing a cross country trip.  (i'm seriously thinking of doing it on my 550)  not all memebers are listed of course, just the ones who want...

Ironically, I live in California, PA but I'm from monroeville (cal is about 1 hour south of PGH) so we all meet in North Dakota, right?  ;D

we should swarm in on the Marysville OH Honda plant like the Goldwing reunion...
i know our SOHC4s werent made in Ohio, but its the only Honda plant i know of.
I think Honda sponsors the Goldwing reunion, not sure
Something like that would be pretty sweet

Marysville is doable for Torontonians - 8 hours of riding, but doable.

Im on too.
I would love to see/hear dozens of Sohc's all at once, that would be awesome!
Did someone tell me there is a gathering in Al or Miss each year?  Looks like I will get any award for longest traveled, most you guys are in the NE.

I think I will repost the link in a new thread in case some missed this.

I could offer a dry space to fix a bike, and a room, tools....but I have no tech expertise.
